“How long does root canal therapy take?”, or “How long does endodontic therapy take?” and generally, the duration of all dental treatments are the most common questions from our patients.

In this week’s blog from Dental Center 4Smile, we continue our series on the duration of dental treatments.

What is endodontics?

Endodontics is a microsurgical procedure in the root canals of teeth.
It has a a purpose to prevent the spread of infection from the oral cavity through the tooth canal to the root and surrounding bone tissue.
To achieve this, it is necessary to detect all tooth canals and fill them with material along their entire width and length.

Teeth that have undergone inflammation of the pulp – the tooth nerve – due to decay or trauma undergo endodontic treatment (‘root canal treatment’).

How long does endodontic therapy take?

The procedure itself is painless with local anesthesia and is carried out at the 4Smile clinic in just one visit.
One visit is also the best for preventing further infection spread.

If you are a patient from abroad, doing root canal treatment will also take you just one visit. However, if you need multiple treatments, we will make a therapy plan that suits you and requires as little visits as possible!

The 4Smile clinic is equipped with the most modern device for mechanical root canal treatment.
It includes (VDW Gold) and an
RVG – intraoral X-ray that checks the accuracy of each filling.

Endodontic therapy that involves mechanical processing equipment is called mechanical endodontics.
Mechanical endodontics provides us fast, painless, and precise treatment of the tooth canal.

Modern dentistry and the skilled hands of Dr. Antolković enable the treatment of multiple teeth in one visit!

We are aware that today’s pace of life is fast, and it’s difficult to find and allocate time. Therefore, we will plan your therapy in advance and arrange appointments that suit you. All you need to do is accept in advance that there are time protocols that must be followed for quality and long-lasting work.”
